Frequently Asked Questions

What is Soiree Fair Talent and Literary?
We are a boutique talent and literary management company that represents exceptional, handpicked talent—those “diamonds stuck in the rough”—across TV, film, theater, and literary.

How long has Soiree Fair been in business?
Soiree Fair was founded in 1995. We’re proud to be celebrating over 30 years of discovering and elevating talent.

What types of talent do you represent?
We represent actors, writers, directors, and content creators across various mediums, including television, film, stage, and digital platforms.

How do I become a client?
We consider new talent by industry referral, during scouting events, or by submitting through approved channels during an open submission period.

Do you represent child actors or minors?
Yes, we represent youth talent with the proper work permits and parental/guardian support in place.

What sets Soiree Fair apart from other management companies?
We specialize in nurturing raw, overlooked, or underrepresented talent with authentic voices and strong potential. Our approach is holistic and deeply personalized.

Is Soiree Fair a talent agency?
No. We are a management company, not an agency. We provide long-term career guidance, branding, coaching, and connections while working in partnership with agents, publicists, and legal reps.

What is the difference between a manager and an agent?
Managers focus on career development, brand positioning, and strategy, while agents handle bookings and contractual negotiations. We often work closely with an actor’s agent to support all aspects of their career. However, Soiree Fair does all the above. Not only do we focus on career development, we submit, book, and negotiate the deals! We are a one stop solution!

What services do you provide to clients?
We offer career planning, script development, audition coaching, self-tape support, branding, pitch submissions, and connections with casting directors and literary publishers.

Do you charge upfront fees?
Absolutely not. We earn a percentage of the income we help you generate. We only succeed when you do.

Do your clients need to be union members (SAG-AFTRA, WGA, etc.)?
Not necessarily. We work with both union and non-union talent and guide clients on union eligibility when the time is right.

Do you represent talent internationally?
Yes, we currently work with international talent, especially those seeking opportunities in the U.S. market. We also help our US clients navigate global opportunities

How involved are you in developing writers’ projects?
Very involved. We help shape pitches, polish scripts, and guide writers through the packaging and submission process for publishing and production.

Do you accept previously published or self-published authors?
Yes, we welcome self-published and previously published authors who are looking to scale their literary careers or adapt their work for TV/film.

How often do clients hear from their manager?
Communication is tailored to the client’s needs, but we prioritize regular, transparent updates and support. We’re known for being highly accessible and collaborative.

Can you help me get cast in film or television if I don’t have a reel or resume yet?
If you’re just starting out but show strong potential, we may work with you to develop materials and gain early credits. However, basic training or experience is helpful.

What happens if I want to leave Soiree Fair?
Our agreements are based on mutual trust and can be terminated with written notice. We want to ensure your success, wherever your path leads.
